Stefano Malagodi, Executive Director

Stefano has over 25 years’ experience in the naval and offshore industries. After serving in the Italian Navy as an officer, he began working at Fincantieri Shipbuilding as a project manager assistant. He went on to hold various positions at Detroit Diesel Corporation and Sonsub (Saipem) before founding Innovo in 2012.

As Executive Director, Stefano oversees the company’s Research and Development (R&D) activities and is accountable for company and project sustainability, helping clients optimise their projects to achieve their carbon reduction and net zero emission goals. He is co-inventor of ten patents, a Chartered Engineer in both the UK and Italy and a fellow member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects.

Andrea Tiberio, Technical Director

Andrea has over 25 years’ experience in the mechanical engineering and offshore industries. He began his working career at Technomare (an ENI company) as a project engineer and subsequently held various positions within Sonsub (Saipem) working on numerous projects for the design and construction of equipment for deepwater applications and Subsea Umbilicals, Risers & Flowlines (SURF) equipment.

As Innovo’s Technical Director, Andrea has overall responsibility for all technical aspects of a project. He holds various patents and is a Chartered Engineer in Italy.

Garry Millard, Corporate Business Development Director

Garry has over 40 years’ experience, onshore and offshore, in engineering, project management, commercial management, director and consultancy roles for international organisations. Prior to joining Innovo, Garry was CEO at Flexlife Group, a specialist provider of lifecycle management solutions for flexible pipes and umbilicals, and Managing Director of DOF Subsea UK responsible for UK, Mediterranean and Africa.

Corporate Business Development Director at Innovo, Garry specialises in developing and implementing strategy, globalisation, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), patented technology, commercial and business development activity.

He is a director, partner, adviser and mentor in a number of UK and international businesses and non-profit organisations including OGTC’s TechX program, and Energy Services International (Eserv). He is a member of the Chartered Management Institute (MCMI), was Chairman of the Aberdeen Pipeline Industry Guild (PIG) from 2008 to 2010 and is a Charity Committee Member of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). Garry holds an MBA degree from Robert Gordon’s University, Aberdeen, UK.

Graeme Bell, Chief Financial Officer

Graeme is a senior executive with over 25 years’ experience in the energy sector, principally focused on technology small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). He began his working career and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young in Aberdeen, and has a BA Honours in Politics and Law and a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting.

Graeme has worked as either CEO or CFO on many projects involving private equity or high net worth investors, helping to achieve significant shareholder return on investments. For the past eight years he has been Managing Director and Founding Shareholder at Bell and Associates, a boutique advisory firm providing a range of corporate finance and advisory services. He uses his practical experience and knowledge to assist businesses to develop and implement their business strategy and to maximise shareholder value.

Bledar Shehu, Project Manager

Bledar has over 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering for the oil and gas and renewables industries. He began his working career with Innovo as a Project Engineer and has held various positions within the company working on numerous projects for the design, construction and testing of equipment for deepwater applications and SURF.

Bledar holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Building Engineering from the The University of Padua and is qualified as a civil and environmental engineer.

William Cappello, UK Acquisition Manager

William has experience in tendering, sales and business development having spent over 16 years’ working in the oil and gas, renewable energy, marine, nuclear, defence and steel industries. He joined Innovo in 2021 and is responsible for supporting the company’s growth plans for the UK and international markets which includes managing tenders and supporting all sales and business development actions.

Prior to joining Innovo, William held business management positions at Edgen Murray, a supplier of equipment for worldwide energy and infrastructure markets, and Ansaldo Nuclear Ltd, who engineer machinery and components for the nuclear and defence industries. He also managed tendering activities for DOF Subsea UK on projects with values of up to $200 million.
