Meet some of the key people at Innovo who are here to help you with design and engineering, procurement and project management.
Stefano has over 25 years’ experience in the naval and offshore industries. After serving in the Italian Navy as an officer, he began working at Fincantieri Shipbuilding as a project manager assistant. He went on to hold various positions at Detroit Diesel Corporation and Sonsub (Saipem) before founding Innovo in 2012.
As Executive Director, Stefano oversees the company’s Research and Development (R&D) activities and is accountable for company and project sustainability, helping clients optimise their projects to achieve their carbon reduction and net zero emission goals. He is co-inventor of ten patents, a Chartered Engineer in both the UK and Italy and a fellow member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects.
Andrea has over 25 years’ experience in the mechanical engineering and offshore industries. He began his working career at Technomare (an ENI company) as a project engineer and subsequently held various positions within Sonsub (Saipem) working on numerous projects for the design and construction of equipment for deepwater applications and Subsea Umbilicals, Risers & Flowlines (SURF) equipment.
As Innovo’s Technical Director, Andrea has overall responsibility for all technical aspects of a project. He holds various patents and is a Chartered Engineer in Italy.
Garry has over 40 years’ experience, onshore and offshore, in engineering, project management, commercial management, director and consultancy roles for international organisations. Prior to joining Innovo, Garry was CEO at Flexlife Group, a specialist provider of lifecycle management solutions for flexible pipes and umbilicals, and Managing Director of DOF Subsea UK responsible for UK, Mediterranean and Africa.
Corporate Business Development Director at Innovo, Garry specialises in developing and implementing strategy, globalisation, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), patented technology, commercial and business development activity.
He is a director, partner, adviser and mentor in a number of UK and international businesses and non-profit organisations including the Net Zero Technology Centre’s TechX program, and Energy Services International (Eserv). He is a member of the Chartered Management Institute (MCMI), was Chairman of the Aberdeen Pipeline Industry Guild (PIG) from 2008 to 2010 and is a Charity Committee Member of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). Garry holds an MBA degree from Robert Gordon’s University, Aberdeen, UK.
Gabriele has over seven years of experience working in the oil and gas, maritime, renewables and subsea industries. Following his graduation from the University of Padua department of economics and management, Gabriele began his working career with Innovo as a Cost Controller before moving on to supervise the company’s administrative department, focussing on the financial side of the business.
Gabriele become Chief Financial Officer in 2022. His day-to-day responsibilities include supervising all project costs, preparing cashflow statements and business plans, and arranging annual reports. He divides his time between Innovo's Aberdeen and Padova offices.
Craig’s career has spanned 40 years in the offshore energy sector with 30 years’ experience as Project Manager on survey, ROV, major IRM, SURF and subsea construction projects with major offshore contractors including Fugro, Oceaneering, Sonsub and Subsea 7.
His roles have involved providing subsea support to major North Sea operators including BP, Shell and Total with the provision and management of dedicated diving and ROV survey vessels, including provision of new remote technology in the inspection and maintenance of established North Sea assets.
Craig is responsible for supporting Innovo’s growth plans for the UK and international markets which includes managing tenders and supporting the business development team as well as developing relationships with Innovo’s clients.
